The Purpose Of Our Fasting-Workshop:

The purpose behind this fast is with the intention of encouraging healthier eating, such as plant-based meals, as an alternative to fast foods. & Also striving to make this alternative more affordable in the process.

Inspired By the Daniel Fast:

A great amount of my blog content on the Humility Process specifically, is a result of Plant-based fasting, which is in essence inspired by the Daniel Fast.

This is a fast whereby we devote toward plant-based meals, setting aside all other foods as a part of the discipline. This is in precept with the Prophet Daniel’s dietary restriction in the process of his journey, as well as it’s results written in scripture.

“In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks.

I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.“

-Daniel 10:2-3

 Fasting Principles

Dietary Guidelines:

The Daniel fast generally consists of a plant-based diet, being equivalent to what is described in Daniel 1:11-12 as “pulse”. It’s commonly agreed upon that the Hebrew definition of the word “pulse” can be related to vegetables, either fresh, cooked, or frozen, but not processed.

Fruits are also encouraged in moderation (2-3 servings):

This can be fresh, frozen, cooked, or dried fruits. As long as it doesn’t include the additional oils/sugars & as long as it isn’t processed.

The only beverages recommended during this fast is water, at which purified/filtered water is recommended & spring or distilled water is said to be the best option.
