Unstable Waters

But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.

But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.

And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him.

When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen? -Matthew 21:37-40

& Judah said unto his brethren, what profit is it if we slay our brother, & conceal his blood?

Come, let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, & let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother & our flesh. & his brethren were content. - Genesis 37:26-27

Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; & they drew & lifted up Joseph out of the pit, & sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: & they brought Joseph into Egypt.

& Reuben returned unto the pit; &, behold, Joseph was not in the pit; & he rent his clothes.

& he returned unto his brethren, & said, the child is not; & I, whether shall I go? -Genesis 37:28-30

Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch. -Genesis 49:4

& Joseph’s ten brethren went down to buy corn in Egypt.
