Proper Nutrition & Diet

Apart from the endless different forms of meditation therapies and exercises we find which deal with holistic healing, let us focus first toward one of the most essential forms of healing. Concerning the three main areas of practicing holistic health, proper diet and nutrition brings focus toward the body’s ability to heal itself, and is therefore a form of homeotherapy. Proper diet and nutrition is crucial toward the journey into holistic health strategy. Diet alone can make or break the effectiveness of any treatment, and is therefore among the most important strategies we should consider.

What’s in Your Diet?

  • In these days do we find endless dieting methods and practices each with their own abstaining restrictions of certain foods we would otherwise be more than happy to consume. My intention is not to be a restriction for the conscience of the mind, but rather to shed light of healthier options in hopes that we all may find what works best for each individual. Yet in consideration of the diet we keep, we should strive for one that is in alignment with our own divine motives and intent. What does this mean? There is that which pertains to physical health which is of limited value. And then there is that which pertains to spiritual health which is far more valuable in every way beyond that which pertains only to the physical. Likewise is the intent of a diet.

Our Diet is our Discipline

  • There is the diet of one that eats all meats willingly. And then theres the diet of one that will only tolerate “raw vegan cuisine”. Yet it is not of DIVINE will that these two should pass ill judgement toward the intent of the opposite diet choice. Especially not when they’re both found to be in their own proper alignment. Our diet is a reflection of our discipline. And with this in mind, we should be careful not to judge anyone else by what they eat or drink when concerning each journey into self-love. every holistic diet is a foreshadow of thing hoped for, by the intent of the one who holds to that diet. and so, it would be better to shine light of our own dieting journey, rather than pass judgement of someone else’s. Yet we should shine light, not from a perspective of restrictions of what we don’t partake in. But rather focus light toward what a healthy diet truly consists of from our own point of view. With an explanation of why.

What are your Diet Goals?

  • When it comes to any form of self-love practice, it’s always good to affirm with-in self whatever it is that we hope to manifest into our reality. A Journey into healthier dieting is no different. It’s my goal to eventually maintain a diet for myself that enhances all levels of my own healing process. Obviously this would require a diet consisting of increase in nutrient rich foods. Beans and legumes, for example, are a personal favorite of mine made with brown rice. To make them even better, they are an excellent source of fiber nutrients. Therefore, they will consistently remain a part of my diet. Leafy green veggies such as cabbage or spinach are also a goal for me to increase in my diet. Ultimately, I aim for my diet to be mostly, but not completely raw, to ensure an increased alkaline environment. As I continue to learn more along the journey, the more goals I’ll be able to set, and the more aligned I become toward accomplishing them.
