THE DHIMMI AGENDA: Eclipse Theory

Eclipse theory, as it pertains to Dhimma culture, puts emphasis on establishing a moral/lawful standard set for the people to uphold. This is with the intention of determining moral integrity within the collective, as well as maintaing civil order within that collective.

Know ye not that they which run a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

& Every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. -1 COR 9:24-25

With this, we find again the athletics of the spirit interceeding on our behalf, in that with upholding moral or even lawful integrity along in ones journey, this as a result rewards the athlete a foundation of good graces to carry them through. These are what become the benefits of helpful advantages against moments of adversity.

I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air.

But I keep under my body, & bring it into subjection; lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. -1 COR 9:26-27

So what would become of the individual that takes on their journey void of moral discernment or lawful integrity? They may potentially be met with more adversity in the process of their journey as a result, if not fully rejected all together.

This was the intention behind the Dhimma class under Islamic law. That certain populations of people may be acknowledged according to their moral integrity, or the lack there-of. For some to be regarded as Dhimmis would be to their moral advantage, while others may have considered it derogatory being subjected to certain restrictions as a result.

DHIMMIS: ECLIPSE THEORY

To be sure, the Jewish & Christian populations were to be regarded as Dimmis under Islamic law - That is, as non-heathen but still essentially second-class citizens. As such they were subjected to discrimatory poll taxes, to residential & vocational restrictions, to social discrimination, even to demeaning badges of personal identification. Nevertheless, for the Jews, Moslem practice tended to eclipse theory. If western regimes singles out Jews as the lone, stiff-necked infidel minority with-in reach, Islamic governments by contrast regarded Jews as merely one of several conquered Dhimmi peoples, & in no sense the festering irredentist threat represented by the Christians.

With this we find the same stoic principles of patience within the Dhimma class that we do within the New Testament of the Bible. That specifically being the immersion baptism, which essentially represented the process of remission for our sins. This being more-so with the intention of establishing a healthier conscience in taking on your Divine journey or calling.

The athletics of the spirit interceeding on our behalf is the same result of being in alignment with these stoic principles.

No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

& if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully. -2 TIM 2:4-5

ECLIPSE THEORY

In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works, in teaching, integrity, dignity,

sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.
