Spirit meets carnal necessity
The goal of our journey through contentment should be one where our material possessions serve in the achievement of our personal goals, & no longer that our materials should possess us. This is the value of contentment, that it gives way toward a more abundant life. This is in precept with scripture that it asks:
“Who planteth a vineyard, & eatheth not the fruit there of? Or who feeders a flock, & eateth not of the milk of the flock?” -1 Corinthians 9:7
This is to say that if we provide for the spiritual necessity, that it’s also appropriate that we provide things which pertain to carnal necessity as well. & this not to indulge in carnal gain, but rather that we partake of the altar at which we minister. & for this reason do we preach the gospel prior to wealth so that glory in worldly riches make not void the glory in the gosel itself, which is a spiritual foundation, made without charge, that there be no abuse in power made in the Gospel. (sincerity of spirit)
We find our example of those who partake in spirit of the Gospel, that in duty they were also ministered carnal things, in precept that the Lord lifted up his eyes & saw a great company coming to him, & said to his disciple, “whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?” (John 6:5)
This was around the time of the passover feast, that a great multitude which saw after his miracles, followed with him. & the Lord, who is Ha-Mashiyach (the Messiah), who took five barley loaves after giving thanks fed the whole group.
“& when even was now come, his disciples went down unto the sea.” -John 6:16
