What we gain in process of prayer

So the question is, what is it that the poor man could do for himself to help in circumstance of his own situation? This brings me back in mind of Sha’ul in his affliction, in the idea that the poor man was already afflicted in his situation in itself. But how does She’ll act in response to his circumstance?

He was afflicted three days in which he neither ate nor drank anything. But was led into the house where by he would remain in prayer. In this we gain precept & reminder that we should be careful for nothing; but in everything, by prayer & supplication with thanksgiving that we let our request be known unto Divine. & that when we do this, what we receive in the process of our humility is “Divine peace” keeping both heart & mind, in which we find surpassed all understanding. In short do we receive an abundance of healthy conscience from our affliction.
