Minimalist Self-Reflections
Considering the space around us
Pick one room in your home that you spend most of your time in. Look around at the things that take up space & ask yourself, “ is there too much unnecessary clutter?” If so, then let us detach from toxicity.
In the mindset that there’s an abundance to be found in our mastering contentment, while drawing near to Godliness. In this I see some form of self-enlightenment likely to be gained in the process, but also I hear that there’s a calling in spirit of faith & patience that’s need. The process can be overwhelming, & there will be moments of doubt. But we have spirit of assurance & routine working in our favor.
This is the dedication that we gain through precept, that we behold the fowls of the air, & the lillies that grow. (Matthew 6:26-30)
Considering the space with-in us
The same as our physical bodies are considered sacred temples from spiritual perspective, our physical bodies are also reflecting of our own self-love. & when we consider this in mind of the space in which we live, & the conditions in which we live under, these things can also be to some degree reflecting of ourselves as well. So with this in mind we see that the clutter in the room could very well be reflecting of the clutter in the mind, & vis-versa. & If this be the case, then let us detach from toxicity.
We find the minimalist mindset in 2 corinthians 6:16 in precept concerning the temple & it’s sanctification. In that it’s written, what agreement hath eh Divine temple with idols? In the idea that we are a temple devoured, (drawn-near). In this I see the humility process abstaining certain cravings of the heart & rather caring after spirit. & from a minimalist perspective, what this would look like is the process of considering what is necessity to devotion, & what is unnecessary clutter. & this brings us back to the self-enlightenment that is to be gained, in that spirit will reveal to us what is for the calling.
Considering the people around us
Consider the people around you in which you spend most of your time around. & then consider the goals which you hope to accomplish this year. Are those the people that you feel are going to help you tackle these goals, or distract you from progressing? This is not to say, get rid of all your friends & find new ones. However this is a reminder that even our social circles can be a reflection of our own self-love. & if this be the case of regression, then let us detach from toxicity.
This is in precept that we be not “unequally yoked” together with unbelievers, in that it’s written,
“what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? & what communion hath light with darkness?” -2 Corinthians 16:14
This is not with he mindset that we make war with what is of a different perspective of being faith-based, but rather that we transcend the religious standards & embrace the sincerity of spirit.
“& (john) answered & said, Master, we saw one casing out devils in thy name; & we forbade him, because he follow the not with us. & ha-Mashiyach said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.” -Luke 9:49-50
Likewise is it written
”& if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.” -Mark 3:25
Consider these precepts as it pertains to minimalist mindsets, as well as the company we keep. Spirit reveals the roles of a collective, & how collective sincerity, or the lack there-of, affects progression. & if it be the case that our company prevents the progression of us achieving the goal(s), these are things worth detaching from.
Wherefore COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM, & BE YE SEPARATE, saith the Lord, & TOUCH NOT THE UNCLEAN THING; & I WILL RECEIVE YOU, -2 Corinthians 6:17
Considering our own actions
Lastly, consider your own activities. The things you do on a daily or even through-out the week. Or what about any projects that you spend a lot of your time working on. Are these activities going to bring you closer to where you want to be in life, or keep you in the same place? Even our everyday activity can be a reflection of our own self-love. & if our activity keeps us stagnant on our greater goals, then let us detatch from Toxicity.
In this I see the Humility Process manifested into a minimalist perspective. & that. Perspective I see as a 3 step process: Discipline, Decluttering, & Devout. These three serve as 3 major transitions in our journey through the humility process.
