SINCERITY with Gospel of Uncircumcision
But I certify you, Brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. - Galatians 1:11
As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. - Galatians 1:9
& so again is the question of whether or not Sha’uls gospel of the uncircumcision is to be considered a perversion of the Gospel. My response: WHICH IS THE GREATEST COMMANDEMENT OF THE LAW?
“Thou shalt love the Lord your God, with all your heart, & with all your soul, & with all your mind.”
“This is the great & first commandment. & the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law & the prophets.” -Matthew 22:38-40
With these two, we find grace through a sincerity of spirit without the standard of traditions. & we have Ha-Mashiyach as an example of that grace, that he healed on the Sabbath day,
“The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, it is the Sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.
He answered them, he that made me whole, the same said unto me, take up thy bed, & walk”. - John 5:10-11
Likewise do we find that grace with his disciples, picking heads of grain to eat on Sabbath,
“But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the Sabbath day.” - Matthew 12:2
& with this Ha-Mashiyach reminds them of what David did, when he & his companions were Hungry…
“How he entered into the house of God, & did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?
or have ye not read in the law, how that on the Sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, & are Blameless?
But I say unto you, that in this place is one greater than the temple.” - Matthew 12:4-6
With this, we have our living example of the Gospel, that we can always relate back to for clarity & confirmation of what is sincerity of spirit. & likewise does this pertain to Shaul’s gospel of uncircumcision. That it first of all, aligns with the second greatest commandment, but also that it confirms the grace we have with sincerity of spirit. For the example we have his doctrine concerning feasting:
“Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no questions for conscience sake:
For the earth is the Lord’s, & the fullness thereof.
If any of them that believe not bid you to feast, & ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.
But if any man say unto you, this is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, & for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord’s, & the fullness thereof: - 1 Corinthians 10:25-28
When we consider this, in precept with what Ha-Mashiyach teaches concerning Shabbat, we can see that even the Gospel of Uncircumcision still holds fast to a sincerity of spirit.
But if ye had known what this emanate, I WILL HAVE MERCY, & NOT SACRIFICE, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
For the son of man is LORD even of the Sabbath day. -Matthew 12:7-8
