James' Decree of the Vision
Then all the multitude kept silence, & gave audience to barnabas & Paul, delaring what miracles, & wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
& After they had held their peace, James answered, saying, men & brethren, hearken unto me:
Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
& to this agree the words of the prophets; As it is written,
AFTER THIS I WILL RETURN, & WILL BUILD AGAIN THE RUIINS THEREOF, & I WILL SET IT UP:
THAT THE RESIDUE OF MEN MIGHT SEEK AFTER THE LORD, & ALL THE GENTILES, UPON WHOM MY NAME IS CALLED SAITH THE LORD, WHO DOETH ALL THESE THINGS.
Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble them not, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
But that we write unto them that they abstain from pollutions of idols, & from fornication, & from things strangled, & from Blood. -Acts 15:12-20
This is the decree of James, Ha-Mashiyach’s Brother. It is the result of Sha’ul & Barnabas, & the miracles of God made through them among the Gentiles.
“& certain men which came down from Judea taught the brethren, & said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moshe', ye cannot be saved.” - Acts 15:1
It was these same men that recommended that Shaul & Barnabas should go up to Jerusalem unto to apostles & elders concerning the question.
“& Being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice & Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: & they caused great joy into all the Brethren.” - Acts 15:3
& When they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, & of the apostles & elders, & they declared all things that God had done with them.
But there rose up certain of the sect of Pharisees which believed, saying, that it was needful for them to keep the law of Moses.
& the Apostles & Elders came together for to consider of this matter. -Acts 15:4-6
& so we have James decree as the result of the matter, that it was encouraged that Sha’ul continue ministering toward the Gentiles, with Apostles & Elders of the church sending chosen men of their own company with them also. It was only recommended that they remain aligned with a sincerity of spirit.
That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, & from blood, & from things strangled, & from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well. - Acts 15:29
I would say that this part of Shaul’s journey is a great example of faith, that he was able to with-stand those stony grounds, being deeply rooted in his vision toward the Gospel. & so despite those of the sect of pharisee that rose up their own standard, that it was needful to circumcize according to law of Moshe, Shaul was able to clarify of grace given through Ha-Mashiyach.
“now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?” - Acts 15:10
