Wherefore by their Fruits, ye shall know them
He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; & he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. -Matthew 10:41
Fear them not therefore, for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; & hid, that shall not be known. -Matthew 10:26
Even unto this present hour we both hunger, & thirst, & are naked, & are buffeted, & have no certain dwelling place;
& labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:
Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, & are the offscouring of all things unto this day.
I write not these things to shame, but as my Beloved sons I warn you. -1 Corinthians 4:11-14
In this season, we do not forget to entreat strangers, though everything be done with discernment.
This is a season of discretion, but its also just as important that we be willing to communicate the things that are most important to be discussed when given the opportunity.
Be open to building kingdom minded relations when entering this season. Of the many different weirdos we encounter in this journey, these spirits on the other hand are the ones to build with and keep near. These are likewise precious as gold.
Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, LORD, when saw we thee an hungered, & fed thee? Or thirsty & gave thee drink?
When saw we thee a stranger, & took thee in or naked, & clothed thee?
Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, & came unto thee?
& the king shall answer & say unto them, verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. -Matthew 37-40
A sincerity of spirit in precept with this goes hand-in-hand with the straight and narrow.
Meaning that if you do these things, the journey will be well with you. A lack of this in the spirit, whether it be internal or external, becomes a hedge of thorns in the way. It truly is harder to kick against the pricks.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. -John 14:27
