Deja vu: Two perspectives
Perspective 1
For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement & deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou & thy father’s house shall be destroyed: & who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this? - Esther 4:14
Then said he, what have they seen in thine house? & Hezekiah answered, all that is in mine house have they seen: There is nothing among my treasures that I have not showed them.
Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, & that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to babylon: Nothing shall be left, said the LORD.
& of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; & they shall be Eunuchs in the palace of the King of Babylon.
Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, good is the word of the Lord which thou hast spoken. He said moreover, for there shall be peace & truth in my days. -Isaiah 39:4 & 6-8
Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, & cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lord’s hand double for all her sins. -Isaiah 40:1-2 (the voice of him crying in the wilderness)
Behold, the Lord God will come with strong hand, & his arm shall rule for him: behold his reward is with him, & his work before him.
He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: He shall gather the lambs with his arm, & carry them in his bosom, & he shall gently lead those that are with young. -Isaiah 40:10-11
Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of his understanding.
He giveth power to the faint; & to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
Even the youths shall faint & be weary, & the young men shall utterly fall:
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, & not be weary; & they shall walk, & not faint. -Isaiah 40:28-31
