A Season of testing for the Gift

We find the power of prayer, that it serves an essential role in our spiritual journey with the DIVINE. A throne of Grace whereby we obtain mercy, & find grace to help in a time of need.

Therefore the people came to Moses, & said, we have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, & against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. & Moses prayed for the people. -Numbers 21:7

& the Lord said unto Moses, make thee a fiery serpent, & set it upon a pole: & it shall come to pass, that everyone that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. -Numbers 21:8

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you. -1 Peter 4:8

It’s not my intention to bring these up to condemn the sincerity in those around me. I also understand that I’m not the only person enduring my own trials. The Beatitudes are what intercede, proving those of us in the spirit. What becomes the Golden Season, is that we often find our spirit of hope (a seed of promise) in our humility process. Vision Journaling is the best way to discover what this would look like for each of us personally.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;

Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used. -Hebrews 10:31-33

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward.

For ye have need of patience, that after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. - Hebrews 10:35-36

I find a perfected work of patience in the mastery of taming seas. That this as a discipline develops those certain gems of the mind, which I began to notice especially once I found myself re-aquainted with the chior director.

yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me. -Psalm 41:9

Much in the same way that we find it written, that God had brought Daniel into tender love & favor. Like so was the bread of my counsel, that with fear he received me, endangering his own head. In a season that I anointed my own head for 10 days because of my own calamities. Then was our appearance one before the other compared. & because his had no changes, it appeared that he’d fear not God.

The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords. -Psalm 55:21

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. -James 1:2-3

The work of patience is what was needed to overcome the lying imagination of another, formed to my shame. As well as my own imagination, that often weighs on my own conscience. That the pressure felt, that comes with staying true to my discipline, builds an enduring character from the experience.

A SEED FALLEN ON GOOD SOIL:

But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. -Matthew 13:8

As for these four children, God gave them knowledge & skill in all learning & wisdom: & Daniel had understanding in all visions & dreams. -Daniel 1:17

Even so is the case with this very season. that with entering, many of us are met with much conflict in the process, but this is what develops that seed of promise with-in us!

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. -2 Timothy 2:15
