TGS: Our Goal of Enterance
LEARNING PARABLE OF THE PRODIGAL SON:
In the New Testament, we find what is known as the parable of the Prodigal Son. This parable essentially gives us an in depth perspective on a cycle of redemption. Beginning that a certain man had two sons, & that the younger requested of his father to receive his portion of goods reserved for him.
And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.
And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,
And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. - Luke 15:13-19
THE HUMILITY OF A PRODIGAL:
The humility of the prodigal son, is what we eventually find to be a core value to the overall moral of the story. The same pertains with the golden season. That among the many men you will find, there are those gifted with a seeded potential for greatness. Like the Prodigal, one who is of the golden season is often overlooked, or even sometimes misguided to appear lost in the world around him, & lost in his purpose. But make no mistake, the calling on his life is truly a wonder to behold.
Even when we consider the same in parable of the prodigal son:
And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. -Luke 15:20-24
Discovering Your Seed With-in: So how do we begin to discover these kind of seeds with-in our own experience? Simply question your objectives! What are you seeking to achieve or accomplish? What are some goals that you're personally looking to overcome for yourself? These are the potential seeds of hope, whereby we may better maneuver in the spirit, or to "run with patience" toward our goal or objective. This "pursuit of joy" becomes a marathon in a spirit of hope, transforming the things thereof into a foundation of substantial faith.
These things as a basis of ministry, are what result in us stepping into our golden season. With the calling that we learn to maneuver in our re-discovered "spiritual gift" or seed.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. -Romans 8:22-25
WHAT IS A MAROON?
The Maroon are said to have been Africans who refused to be enslaved. It’s said that it was the Maroons who escaped & created communities in the swamp lands of various areas like North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, as well as Florida. Even outside of the states, these same escaped into the hills & mountains of places like Jamaica, as well as many other islands of the Caribbean, Central, & Southern parts of the Americas.
Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.
And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.
And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.
And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him. -Luke 25:28
Waiting With Patience: To hope for that which we see not, is to study ourselves with a certain mind-over-matter. Like a meditation, our waiting with patience, enables us to better discern what it will take for us to achieve certain goals or objectives. Psycologist Asa G. Hilliard for example, calls attention to that part of us that is resistance. In his book “The Maroon within us”, Professor Hilliard acknowledges a peculiar spirit we possess within that refuses to be enslaved.
“There is a part of us that is connected to our creator that observes everything around us; our family, our communities, & in the world, & refuses to be bound & oppressed by the forces that seek to do so.”
Essentially, we find the spirit of patience to be that same self-love journey. That same Humility Process of aligning with our higher nature to overcome obstacles of the lower. What becomes our Golden Season, is that we find a spirit of hope in this humility process. In that it breaks down the corruptible qualities of our experience & builds it back up with healing, perceptive, or especially enduring qualities for the journey. The same pertains to the elder son’s unawares in which we find responding to his father:
And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf. -Luke 15:29-30
Here with the elder son, we find the perfected work of patience having been formed within him. The development of these "seeds" are what call for a sincerity of spirit, as an alignment with our intention & devotion to the process. Take 1 John 3:9 for example:
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: & he cannot sin, because he is born of God. - 1 John 3:9
In this precept alone I see the Golden season for me personally as a result embodiment of successfully retaining. That with this, my mind shifted according to principle as a result, (or what some would consider a “Kingdom Mindset”, as the remission of one’s thoughts. (2 Corinthians 10:5 & 2 Chronicles 7:14)
Now, this isn’t to say that every man entering the Golden season is made subject to retain therapy,
But with-out thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly. - Philemon 1:14
For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, & another after that. - 1 Corinthians 7:7
But he said unto them, all men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. -Matthew 19:11
The goal of a man entering the golden season would be for him to understand exactly what it is with-in himself that makes him golden. For example, the actual name Maroon is said to have come from the Spanish word “Cimarron”, meaning “wild cow” or in the sense of an escaped cattle living in the wild.
The irony of this, is my recognizing how easily the potential of a prodigal tends to wonder away from the very thing that makes them peculiar, especially when they lack the right guidance in the spirit. & in the end, their potential is often overlooked as a result, all due to a lack in clarity. Perhaps these would have been the things in mind of the father, as he reassures the heart of his elder son:
And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.
It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found. -Luke 15:31-32
Why is it important for the prodigal to understand what it is that makes him golden? So that he may take this knowledge of self, & grow there-in toward his renewed journey instead of potentially wasting the opportunity to start before he even begins. Do you recognize your inner gold?
