TGS: Season among Pirates
Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. -Matthew 13:18-19
TELL YE THE DAUGHTER OF SI’ON, BEHOLD, THY KING COMETH UNTO THEE, MEEK, & SITTING UPON AN ASS, AND A COLT THE FOAL OF AN ASS. - Matthew 21:5
With the athletics of an interceding spirit, becoming “healers of the breach” is always the objective. These pursuits become the characteristics associated with the seed of promise. Whereas on the other hand, with simply being subjected to the gaze of children in the market, others will come & sabotage these seeds of the spirit before it can even bloom as a good thing. Such entities & agendas are a breach in spirit, & they are many. These same are those rebuked in sincerity of the spirit prophesied in days of old.
& said unto them, It is written, MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED THE HOUSE OF PRAYER; but ye have made it a DEN OF THIEVES. - Matthew 21:13
With-in these precepts we find the power of prayer, that it serves an essential role in our spiritual journey with the DIVINE. A throne of Grace whereby we obtain mercy, & find grace to help in a time of need. & so when a house of prayer has become a den of thieves, often the prayers are loose change if there’s no sincerity of spirit.
If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? -James 2:15-16
The two main concepts associated with prayer from biblical perspective are supplication & intercession. For example, we have intercession associated with prayer, as an act “ to chance upon” a person or thing, or to “fall in with” a person or a thing. This can also look like praying to entreat or make intercession for anyone.
For example, we have in precept the sorcerer’s sin. That he found himself in the gall of bitterness, & bond of iniquity. & that because his heart wasn’t right in the sight of God, He requested that an apostle pray to the Lord on his behalf, that none of these things spoken of would consume him.
& so just like with fasting, what we find with the purpose of prayer is that it often becomes a season of relief in our own situation or circumstance(s), Either through bringing forth remedy of some sort, or interceding on our behalf through spirit.
Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, & pray GOD, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. - Acts 8:22
In precept with the king toward the daughter of Si-on, we read that a great multitude “spread their garments” & “cut down branches” to straw them in the way saying, “BLESSED IS HE.”
This is an example of “supplications” made toward the LORD. Being something associated with prayer as a thing to be obtained. The olive branch itself associated with supplication as a token for seeking peace, relief, or reconciliation.
I bring this in mind to say that the ultimate objective with prayer is not to condemn or rebuke so much as it is a calling to discover the root of our backsliding in heart of the matter, that it may be healed. I’m no more innocent than the next man, but in my sincerity of spirit. What seems to be more common however, is the occasion for people to prey on another man’s substance. Scavengers masquerading as ministers, having men's persons in admiration, intending that gain is advantage. Not intending to heal anything in heart of the matter, only to prey.
Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country, even from Babylon.
And he said, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All the things that are in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them. -2 Kings.20:14-15
Again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? We speak before God in the LORD, but we do all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying. - 2 Corinthians 12:19
In heart of the matter, discovering the root of our backsliding is no longer a matter of wrong or rights with the oracles of God. But a guide of reconcile, & throne of grace whereby we may find mercy. Study to show thyself approved in the matter. Affiliates not needing to be ashamed in the sincerity of their prayer’s intention.
See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, & to all men.
Rejoice evermore.
Pray without ceasing. -1 Thessalonians 5:15-17
