Moshe's Divine Calling

& the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him.

& delivered him out of all his afflictions, & gave him favor & wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; & he made him governor over Egypt & all his house. -Acts 7:9-10

Til another king arose, which knew not Joseph. -Acts 7:18

In which time Moses was born, & was exceeding fair, & nourished up in. his father’s house three months;

& when he was cast out, Pharoah’s daughter took him up, & nourished him for her own son.

& Moses was learned in all wisdom of the Egyptians, & was mighty in words & in deeds.

& when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.

& seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, & avenged him that was oppressed, & smote the Egyptian:

Then fled Moses at this saying, & was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begat two sons.

& when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an Angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a Bush.

When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight: & as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came unto him,

This Moses whom they refused, saying, WHO MADE THEE A RULER & A JUDGE? the same did God send to be a ruler & a deliverer by the hand of the Angel which appeared to him in the Bush.

He brought them out after that he had showed wonders & signs in the land of Egypt, & in the Red Sea, & in the wilderness forty years.

This is that Moses which said unto the children of Israel, A PROPHET SHALL THE LORD YOUR GOD RAISE UP UNTO YOU OF YOUR BRETHREN, LIKE UNTO ME; HIM SHALL YE HEAR.

The woman saith unto him, sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
our fathers worshipped in this mountain; & ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. - John 4:19-20

Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, & how I bare you on eagles wings, & brought you unto myself.

Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, & keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

& ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, & an Holy Nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

& Moses came & called for the elders of the people, & laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him.

& all the people answered together, & said, all that the LORD hath spoken we will do. & Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD. -Exodus 19:4-8

& all the people saw the thunderings, & the lightnings, & the noise of the trumpet, & the mountain smoking: & when the people saw it, they removed, & stood afar off.

& they said unto Moses, speak thou with us, & we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.

& Moses said unto the people, fear not: for God is come to prove you, & that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.

& the people stood afar off, & Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was. - Exodus 20:18-21

& so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I EXCEEDINGLY FEAR & QUAKE :)
But ye are come unto Mount Si-on, & unto the city of the living God, the Heavenly Jerusalem, & to an innumerable company of Angels.
To the Genral assembly & church of the firstborn, which are written in Heaven, & to God the judge of all, & to the spirits of just men made perfect -Hebrews 12:21-23

& many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, he told me all that I ever did. -John 4:39
